Upon the formation of Windham Capital in 1990, Mr. Mellor co-founded Trillium Partners, L.P., a multi-manager fund allocating assets to various hedge funds. The Firm also worked on a number of projects.

In the early 90's a Fortune 500 company in the midwest hired Windham to construct a multi-advisor portfolio to manage their cash reserves through diverse conservative managers. The program was successful, and eventually wound down as the company began utilizing its reserves for acquisitions. Additionally, a university in the Southwest hired Windham to perform a nationwide search seeking a niche manager for a US$100mm pool of capital. The search was successfull.

In 1996, the company reorganized as Windham Capital Group, Inc.
